a dialogue worth having

i began reading "the meaning of Jesus" this weekend. it is a difficult read, yet i am completely intrigued by the first two chapters. borg challenges me on one end, wright pushes me beyond what i thought i knew on the other. i wonder what it was like for the two of them to work on this project coming from such diverse perspectives?

I'm intrigued...tell me more about the authors. I get the title but what's the set up? Are they polar opposites? Different denominations? Conservative vs. liberal? tell me... Tell me??? Tell Me!!!

well i hate to use labels, but your conservative vs. liberal would be a starting point. borg is a professor of religion at oregon state, wright is a angelican bishop and professor at havard divinty school.

i am not even sure how to summarize what i am reading, i am having to work through it internally first.

i am talking to a friend about recording a converation in the living room/studio he has in his house. we will talk about faith, life, and such with the intent to make it available online to download or something like that. i am sure some of this book will come up as discussion. i'll let you know more when we get started.

Hey, I would love to help you make that into a podcast or any other way you want to distribute it. Let me know...
